PayNearMe, a company that enables government agencies and businesses to accept remote cash payments, has partnered with the New York City Department of Finance to allow drivers in the city to pay for parking tickets in cash at more than 100 7-Eleven locations — many of which are open 24/7 — across the five boroughs.

To pay a parking ticket with cash, a driver can simply go to and click the “Get Started” button to obtain a PayNearMe payment code.

The code and cash payment may then be presented to a 7-Eleven cashier, along with a $2.99 convenience fee, a press release said. The transaction takes less than a minute and payment is posted within approximately 15–60 minutes.

“No one likes paying parking tickets, but PayNearMe makes it convenient for those who prefer to resolve their debt by paying cash,” NYC Department of Finance Commissioner Jacques Jiha said in the release. “We are pleased to offer this service as an additional payment option for New York City drivers, as it is in line with our consistent efforts to enhance customer service.”
